On November 14th 2014 the Roundtable Series of InfoComm continued in Düsseldorf. Like the events before there was a huge feedback from the industry. Godwin Demicoli, Director Europe of InfoComm welcomed 20 attendees from different companies of the AV-industry.

A short keynote about the industry ressource AV-iQ by Juergen Moench, Technical Management avipool, was followed by Godwin Demicoli, who presented some information about InfoComm as the AV industry association.

Following the opinion of the attendees the remaining time oft he Roundtable was used to have a intensive discussion about various important topics.

Especially a stronger position of InfoComm as the AV association in Germany was required from all participants. It will be nesseccary to take care about the German market conditions.

Further topics of the discussion:

• Future clear and understandable definition of the AV-industry.
• Regular communication especially between manufacturers, users and in general all market participants.
• Improving of lobbying for the AV-idnustry.
• Support and development of apprenticeship and in-service training for the industry.

In addition to these topcis  the following point were adopted:

• There will be regular Roundtable once in a quartal in Germany.
• Participants of the roundtable will strive for a meeting with the InfoComm board at the ISE 2014.
• In the future participant will be in charge of certain functions at the roundtable with limited time and duration.

The next roundtable will be in the first quartal if 2014. Please stay tuned for detailed information about location and date. It will be announced in this newsletter and by InfoComm itsself.
