The CNK200 Cable-Nook is designed for installation into a table (such as those found in boardrooms and conference rooms) the Modular Cable Nook has more room than the original Cable Nook by eliminating the 2 internal AC power sockets. Like the original Cable Nook, it provides a simple, yet effective way of hiding and storing multimedia cables and fixed connectors. More importantly, the cables remain connected to a presentation system, enabling the user to simply access them and connect them to video, audio, and other media sources needed for a presentation. The Modular Cable Nook uses a trap door type design with a lid that remains flush with the table when not in use. To access the cables or connectors, the user simply lifts the trap door and pulls the ends out, or plugs cables into any installed fixed connectors. The lid offers a half-moon cutout, allowing it to close even with several cables in use. After the presentation, the cable ends are returned to the Cable Nook for safe storage. Cables are fed through the Cable Nook to the underside of the table, enabling connection to the presentation system. The weight of the cables helps to feed the slack through the unit and the cable ends are kept from falling by a special adjustable retaining bracket. The bracket uses rounded edges to prevent kinking and it can be adjusted for a wide variety of cable sizes. The height of the bracket shelf can be adjusted for different depths.
