Cutting Through: Pixel Perfect Excuse (Part 1)
Posted on Friday, February 15, 2019
Crestron has just released a firmware update for their NVX that claims to end the 1G vs 10G debate. Pixel perfect technology appears to be a 20:1 proprietary JPEG2000 based codec that only addresses static images. This does not solve the NVX's two frame latency, motion quality issues, or power consumption. Crestron’s firmware update does not end the 1G vs 10G debate.
