The Cinema-at-Home demo features Barco Residential’s top-of-the-line Thor projector, the world’s first 4K “mega projector” featuring true 6P 3D direct laser technology. It also offers a sneak preview of Barco Residential’s new Alchemy server, with HDMI2.0 / HDCP 2.2 connectivity on board and HDR compatibility. Delivering the highest contrast, widest color gamut and superlative image uniformity and sharpness, Thor drives reality-altering levels of immersion, supported by unrivaled brightness levels.

Steinway Lyngdorf will provide a potent Auro-3D® 11.1 system, a completely concealed immersive audio solution featuring IW-26 and S-16IW main speakers and six 2x12 LS Boundary woofers. Driven by a full digital chain consisting of a P200 processor and a combination of A1/A2 amplifiers, it is expertly calibrated with the Steinway Lyngdorf RoomPerfect™ 3D room mapping and correction system.

The Barco Cinema-at-Home demo also features a Stewart Filmscreen Director’s Choice, offering the ultimate marriage of performance and flexibility for masking screen systems. The demo screen has a 17’ image width, and is configured with Stewart’s StudioTek 100 unity gain, reference screen material. It can mask to any aspect ratio, allowing content to be shown in the correct format without distracting black bars.

Blend work with play with “The Ultimate Media Solution”
Barco has re-envisioned the high-end home office to create The Ultimate Media Solution, featuring large custom-designed and high-resolution screens ideal for “work” or “play” programming and applications. Customers can incorporate multiple content sources and freely arrange them on screen for a rich media experience. The intuitive user interface integrates seamlessly with professional video conferencing tools or can be connected via Barco ClickShare.

In addition to Barco Residential projection, Meridian Audio, which recently announced their new partnership with Barco Residential, is providing its G65 high-performance surround controller, pairing it with Meridian DSP7200SE floor-standing loudspeakers, complete with SpeakerLink connectivity. The result: life-like SPL and dynamic range, bass extension and the ability to sonically optimize any location in the room.
