Our ‘annual report team’ couldn’t be happier with the results of the 2016 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition. Like last year, we went home with the Platinum – the most distinguished – awards for the printed and online versions of our annual report. On top of that, we won the award for the best report cover. The organizers, the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP), gave our 2016 reports a score of a dazzling 99%.

Refreshing design and new concepts

As Barco believes that an annual report is a great way to tell the Barco story, we work hard each year to design a report that makes a lasting impression. While we loved our – award-winning – previous reports, we were particularly proud of the 2016 ‘Focused to perform’ issue for its refreshing layout, which unveiled our new house style, and its innovative organizational concept. For the first time, we chose to use four separate booklets, allowing readers to dig into the information of their particular interest. More than that, we brought our story to life in an online report for the very first time. We’re delighted to see that our efforts were clearly appreciated by the professional LACP jury!

Tough competition
The value of the awards? Well, the LACP’s Vision Annual Report Award is highly respected within the industry. Moreover, the 2016 competition drew one of the largest submission pools ever: nearly 1,000 organizations of all sizes from a broad range of industries presented their reports, making the competition exceptionally tough.

This is the third year that Barco received the Platinum honor for its annual report. In other words: we set the bar high for next year’s report!
