Barco wins 2012 InfoComm Sustainable Technology award

 Barco was honored by InfoComm International with the Sustainable Technology Award for its implementation of environmentally sustainable practices. Recognized at this year's "InfoComm 100," an annual conference designed to bring together the AV industry's top thought leaders and volunteers, Barco achieved the honor based on its wide array of green policies and practices designed to reduce energy consumption and minimize CO2 emissions that are harmful to the environment.

 
Barco has developed product designs and manufacturing techniques that minimize size, weight and power, extend product lifespan, and utilize recyclable materials in their construction.  “Barco has made incredible strides to make their company more sustainable,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International. “The company’s development of innovative technologies creates experiences that are both incredible and environmentally sustainable.”
