Black Box offers new cost-effective solutions for switching traffic in harsh areas.

Switch and move data quickly in harsh environments with Black Box’s new line of Hardened Managed Ethernet Switches (LEH8 family). Designed for rugged environments, these switches can be ordered for switching 10-/100-Mbps Ethernet traffic onto copper or fiber optic backbones. Models are also available for switching 10/100 traffic between Gigabit (1000-Mbps) copper or fiber segments, too.

These durable, DIN rail-mountable switches operate in very hot and very cold conditions—even outdoors in sheltered locations—so they’re great for traffic signal applications and use in multi-building corporate, education, healthcare, and government environments.

Advanced bandwidth control enables you to set the maximum bandwidth on each switch port individually, and the switches are fully manageable through SNMP, a Web browser, Telnet, or a console port. Plus, they support advanced features such as 802.1Q VLANs, MAC-based trunking, and IP-multicast IGMP snooping, as well as rapid spanning tree for redundancy, Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities for priority queuing, and port mirroring.
