The Remote Update tool allows an Aavelin user to update the software on the Aavelin player remotely, significantly simplifying the process of updating software.

While software updates will still be available on compact disc media, the Remote Update tool provides a simple one-click interface for updating the Aavelin's playback software immediately from a desktop PC. In addition to routine software updates, the Remote Update gives MagicBox the ability to easily distribute patches and minor additions, such as new Infra-Red code sets for recently added DVD players or VCR's.
