Ensemble Designs Shows New Way to Take YouTube™, Skype™ Video to Air for HD and SD SDI Use
Posted on Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Grass Valley, California, 8 June 2010 – Ensemble Designs will be featuring the award winning BrightEye Mitto scan converter at InfoComm on booth C4713. BrightEye Mitto is newly in use in television broadcast, worship and post production facilities. BrightEye Mitto provides an elegant means for taking computer video to air. Material such as YouTube video, weather radar, viewer emails and websites can be output to SD, HD or 3 Gb/s serial digital video. The first units have shipped and are being used in broadcast television stations in the U.S., Asia and New Zealand. BrightEye Mitto received the notable Pick Hit Award from Broadcast Engineering at the IBC exhibition. “We use this scan converter every day to get a crisp video transfer from the computer to our edit bays,” said Gabe Gronli, Footage Producer at The Colbert Report. “It’s easy to use, adapts to any player, and makes it possible for us to get a broadcast-worthy image just from streaming internet video.” The included software allows users to simply use a mouse to select which part of the computer video they want to output to HD or SD video. Even a small part of the screen, such as a YouTube™ video, is unconverted to full-screen HD. “People need to make web material look better so it’s usable for broadcast,” said Cindy Zuelsdorf, Marketing Czar at Ensemble Designs. That’s why the phone has been ringing off the hook, every TV station needs a scan converter like BrightEye Mitto so they can use YouTube™ and viewer emails on the air everyday.” Based in Grass Valley, California, Ensemble Designs is in their 20th year of business and is a leading provider of signal processing and infrastructure products to the professional broadcast industry, and other government and commercial applications. Customers include CBS News, ESPN STAR, Disney, RAI, Major League Baseball, Olympic Broadcast Organisation, and Sky, ESPN, The Moving Picture Company and TVNZ. ### Ensemble Designs PO Box 993, Grass Valley CA 95945 USA http://www.ensembledesigns.com Tel: 530.478.1830 Press Contact: Cindy Zuelsdorf Ensemble Designs 530.478.8328 cindy@ensembledesigns.com
