2021: A Year of Transformation for Hall Technologies

Raise your hand (or your glass) if you're ready for 2022!

Jan. 3, 2022 - This past year went fast, didn't it? It seems like just yesterday we were saying, see ya later, good riddance and don't-let-the-door-hit-you-on the-way-out to 2020. We were welcoming 2021 with open arms and an air of optimism. So, how did it go you ask? For us as a company, 2021 meant a whole lot of change, growth, and transformation.

Let's dive right into it.

We rebranded from Hall Research to Hall Technologies.

Chances are, you've heard of Hall Research – and if not, that's okay because we're now Hall Technologies. The big difference? For more than three decades Hall Research has been a leader in the Pro AV industry with a longstanding reputation for providing top-quality, highly reliable products. We're expanding that portfolio of products to include end-to-end solutions – to create technology that changes the way people live, work and play. With a new mission and vision, came a new name, a new look and feel, as well as some new faces.

We realigned our staff.

If we were a little league team, you might say we stacked the deck. We say we hit the jackpot of talent. Several salespeople were added both domestically and globally – including Nelson Solares for the TOLA region and Roy Leggett covering EMEA. On the marketing side, we added Kelly Perkins and Porschea Kendall. Industry veteran, Ken Eagle joined as VP of Technology, while operations and R&D increased staff overall to kick-start our growing catalog of products.

We designed, developed and launched new-to-Hall-Technologies products.

Product-wise, this year was a big one for us. We announced the HIVE ecosystem, beginning with HIVE Control – the world's first cloud-based driverless control system. HIVE delivers a flexible, scalable and easy-to-use collaborative experience for both in-person and remote participants. HIVE seamlessly integrates with tools you're already using – Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and more. No more complex programming, no modules, and no drivers.

And we went to our first-ever InfoComm as Hall Technologies.

Hall Technologies introduced at InfoComm 2021.

Although InfoComm 2021 brought a more intimate experience than previous years, the event didn't disappoint. We took home some good conversations, live demos and even a few awards.

As far as product, we presented the first live demo of HIVE Control, as well as VERSA4K, our first 4K Video-over-IP solution. VERSA4K can extend 4K video with one-frame of latency, four USB 2.0 devices with additional keyboard and mouse, Bidirectional IR, Full Duplex RS-232, and Bidirectional analog audio, all on a simple Gigabit network.

We also showed the EMCEE200, a presentation switcher with picture-in-picture (PIP) and picture-over-picture (POP) capabilities for corporate meeting rooms, hybrid learning spaces and Houses of Worship. The EMCEE200 natively works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and a variety of other soft codecs for simple seamless implementation.

To manufacture all this new product, improve efficiencies and offer better customer service, we needed a bigger building.

And we moved to Texas.

Lastly, we moved our headquarters, operations, and manufacturing to Dallas. This move came on the heels of our expansion over the past last year. Dallas positions us as a distribution hub – and for U.S. Customers – this means expedited shipping. We understand how important it is to keep projects on track, on budget and on time.

Additionally, this move also provides us with a space to house our HIVE Experience Center. We will all live, work and play in Hall's real-life HIVE ecosystem.

We're incredibly excited to host you at our new location – only miles from DFW airport. We've been setting the building blocks throughout 2021 and cannot wait to share it with you in person at our new Dallas facility.

What's new in 2022?

Education and corporate room solutions will kick off Q1 and Q2, with several others following close behind in Q3 and Q4. Stay tuned!

Although it went by in a flash, 2021 has been an eventful year and we're excited you've been along for the ride. So, grab that glass of coffee, tea or champagne and cheers to a healthy, happy and successful 2022!
