winners to be announced September 8 at CEDIA

Coopersburg, PA –– Lighting control manufacturer Lutron Electronics is pleased to announce the 17 finalists vying for one of Lutron’s eight 2011 Excellence Awards. The annual competition for Lutron’s Residential System Providers was created in 2003 as a way to recognize the world’s best Lutron lighting control and window systems projects.

The judges six journalists from the Custom Electronics industry – have reviewed the anonymous submissions and tallied their scores to name this year’s finalists:

8. DK Automations- Parker, TX
9. Doherty Design Group- Indianapolis, IN
10. Powerfull Systems- Los Angeles, CA
11. Powersurge Electric- Truckee, CA
12. Premiere Systems- Chicago, IL
13. Service Tech AV- Austin, TX
14. Soundline Audio- Auckland, New Zealand
15. Starr Systems Design- Baltimore, MD
16. System 7 Solutions, Inc.- Winchester, MA
17. The CDC Group, Inc.- Lisle, IL

A total of eight awards will be distributed:
 

1. Best Total Home Control
2. Best Retrofit Project
3. Best Window Systems Project
4. Best Green/Energy Project
5. Most Unique/Creative Application
6. Best Business Expansion
7. Best Sales & Marketing Program
8. Best Business Practices & Processes

These finalists, who will take home either a gold, silver or bronze award, will be honored at a private dinner on Thursday, Sept 8, in conjunction with the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This year, winners will receive a recognition award, a premium marketing package and will have a winner’s logo added to their company listing on the Lutron website.
