PureLink, a leading provider of UHD video connectivity solutions for audio/video professionals worldwide, has introduced new versions of its VIP-100 transmitters and receivers, part of their PureStream line of modular IP Video solutions. The VIP-100 II series allows users to add video, audio, RS-232, and matrix switching capabilities over IP networks. The new models also provide point-to-point extension at distances up to 394 ft. (120 m), as well as point-to-many, many to point, and matrix connections, providing up to a 64x190 matrix switching system, or as much as a 64 x 65K system, based on Class B networks.
The "Mark II" version of the VIP-100 makes setup and operation of the product line even simpler, by adding a digital LED channel display, IR remote control, and front panel plus/minus buttons, to easily change channels on the transmitters and receivers. The VIP-100 II also adds RS232 distribution, which contributes even further to its switching capabilities. Additionally, every encoder and decoder can be powered from network switches that provide 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE).
“The VIP-100 Mark II is the new and improved version of our entry level VIP Video over IP solution," stated Keith Frey, PureLink's Sr. Product Manager.
