Telemetrics Exhibits Next Generation Telescoping Camera Mount at NAB.
Posted on Monday, April 14, 2008

Popular Lineup Now Accommodates TeleGlide® & Pan/Tilt Movement.

Las Vegas, NV (April 14, 2008) – Telemetrics Inc., the industry leader in camera robotics and control systems, has expanded its broad range of camera control solutions with the introduction of the new Telescoping Camera Mount (TCM) here at NAB 2008.
The unit’s ceiling or TeleGlide® Track mountable hanging configuration makes it ideal for a wide range of production applications that require a more versatile approach due to space limitations and design challenges. It can also integrate with most existing camera systems, regardless of manufacturer. When combined with the TeleGlide track system, TCM allows for new and exciting creative opportunities.

“Since our line of extendable camera mounts was first introduced, we have continually evolved to meet the needs of the broadcast and production community,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.  “Whether a camera is needed in the studio, on a roof top for a weather cam or on a pole for a traffic cam, we have a model to accommodate almost every need or application.”

The new TCM is a fully servo controlled motorized camera positioning device that adds vertical positioning to pan/tilt camera movement for both fixed positioned cameras and for those used with the Telemetrics TeleGlide Camera Trolley System.  It can be controlled using various Telemetrics control panels and computer software with position, preset and motion control capability.  Designed for use in a broadcast environment, the TCM can accommodate any high end application and offers a virtual studio output as well.

While the TCM features a small profile, it can support a 55 pound payload and has an extremely smooth telescoping speed of 2 ft/second and an acceleration speed of 1 ft/second.  Both custom mounting brackets and custom lengths are available and the number of stages can be customized.
