Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2012) – Leading the industry with innovative and economical solutions for camera robotics and control systems, Telemetrics Inc. is showcasing the latest additions to their renowned line of camera control solutions at NAB 2012. On display are the new Coax/Fiber Link, the new Pan/Tilt Fiber System, the all-digital Universal Lens Driver System and the redesigned EP-5 Televator®. In addition, Telemetrics is featuring control systems that offer advanced compatibility with industry leading products such as Broadcast Pix switchers and Sony HDC 2000 Series HD cameras and network accessories.

“We’re excited to bring new technologies and integration capabilities to the broadcast and production market that increase efficiency and functionality and inspire creativity,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics Inc. “Our products are all purpose-designed and deliver high performance and quick ROI.”

The Coax/Fiber Link transmits power with full CCU functionality over distances up to 3000’ using standard field repairable coax and Neutrik opticalCON DUO cable. For distances less than 500’, the system can be configured with two standard coax cables. Either configuration eliminates the need for expensive batteries, local power supplies and expensive cables and connectors. The Coax/Fiber Link is compatible with the Sony PMW-EX3, JVC GY-HM790U, Panasonic AG-HPX370, AG-HPX500, AJ-HPX2000 & AJ-HPX3100 and other cameras.

The new Pan/Tilt Fiber System provides remote control capability and power, to Telemetrics robotic P/T heads including the PT-RM-1, PT-CP-S4, PT-HP-S4 and PT-LP-S4 and, can be used for distances up to 10 kilometers. The system also supports single cable connectivity using an opticalCon low voltage hybrid cable and allows a variety of transmission formats including Ethernet control, HD/SD SDI video and genlock via duplex single-mode fiber optic cable with LC connectors.

Adding versatility and convenience, the new Telemetrics Universal Lens Driver System is specially designed to perform smooth motion transitions for remote control of zoom, focus and iris functions in remote or robotics applications. The Lens Driver supports three methods of control – Serial RS232/422, Ethernet IP and analog (standard broadcast lens interface). The digital device is easily adapted to any manufacturer’s lens and can also be used on most cameras with non-motorized lenses.

The Telemetrics EP5 Televator has been redesigned to offer greater speed and travel range along with a wider range of installation options. The unit’s floor, flex track and now ceiling mountable configurations make it ideal for a wide range of production applications. Featuring quiet operation, the remotely controlled motorized teles
