Every year, Spinitar hosts Golf for Hope to raise money in support of the fight against cancer and diabetes. Since 2015, Spinitar has partnered with City of Hope cancer treatment and research center for the event. The two organizations began collaborating after a Spinitar employee was inflicted with cancer and received wonderful treatment and care from the City of Hope team. We’re thrilled to announce the annual event has raised over $200k over the past 3 years and the aforementioned Spinitar employee is now a two-time bone marrow transplant survivor!

City of Hope was founded in 1913 and is recognized by the National Cancer Institute as one of 49 comprehensive cancer centers. The organization hopes to transform the future of healthcare by providing top-notch care, research and innovation, and education to the community. The healthcare, marketing, fundraising, and support professionals at City of Hope are in search of cures for life-threatening diseases, and aim to improve the emotional and physical care of their patients. The organization was awarded the Press Ganey Pinnacle of Excellence Award and the Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Experience in 2016 for its outstanding patient care.
2018’s event will be the 4th annual Golf for Hope with Spinitar. It will take place at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Spinitar plans to bring together close friends, family, employees, and partners for the common cause. Participants will partake in a putting contest and a round of golf before coming together for a dinner reception.
During dinner, there will be both a silent and live auction featuring items like a Duffy Cruise through the Naples Islands and an all-inclusive 3 night stay in Jamaica. There will also be a raffle for a variety of additional prizes.
This year’s platinum sponsors are Crestron, Legrand/Milestone, and Planar Systems. Alex Tung, a leukemia survivor, will be the event’s guest speaker. Alex will be sharing his success story as an umbilical cord stem cell transplant patient at City of Hope.
