CHALLENGE
Since being granted its Academy status in 2007, the Marsh Academy in New Romney, Kent, has undergone a technological transformation, thanks to leading systems integrator Vanti Technology Solutions and its innovative application of AMX technology. In the latest phase of its development, the Academy has transformed the ground floor of one of its teaching spaces from a traditional classroom block into a new open plan arrangement known as MLS2. In order for this innovative facility to fulfil its potential, Vice Principal Lynn Burrows turned to Vanti and an AMX-controlled technological solution designed to bring the space, and the curriculum, alive.

SOLUTION
The impressively specified central plaza of the new learning block, MLS2, benefits from a wealth of audio-visual technology. The display system, along with the rest of the installed equipment, is managed, using AMX technology, from a central teaching podium. From here it is also possible to send a presentation to any of the seven classrooms, and receive their content and allocated it to a display or displays. The brainchild of Vanti, this innovative solution transforms the screen fitted to the podium into a fully interactive display with stunning control graphics and animation just like an AMX Modero® Touch Panel.

IMPACT
"Our vision has very much been about trying to use technology to enhance the learning of our kids, rather than having equipment for equipment's sake. It's about what we want to achieve in our learning environments, and how the technology can help us with that."

– Lynn Burrows, Vice Principal
