The Introduction

A Brand-New Space. A Blank Canvas for Connected Work.

Stateside Brands, a growing consumer goods company, was relocating its corporate headquarters to a newly built-out space in Philadelphia's dynamic Center City district. With a fresh lease signed and a move-in date on the horizon, leadership needed a trusted AV partner who could design, supply, install, and commission a complete audio visual ecosystem from scratch.

The Challenge

Complex Needs. One Cohesive System.

Stateside Brands needed far more than screens and speakers. The new space had to support corporate hospitality events in a bar/lounge, large-format hybrid training sessions, executive wireless presenting, focused individual work, and Logitech-based conference room standards — all unified under a single, scalable AV architecture and coordinated with a dedicated IT VLAN.

Every space had its own demands. The challenge was making them speak the same language.

The Solution

A Network-Integrated AV Ecosystem Built to Scale

Visual Sound designed a fully networked AV-over-IP (AVoIP) architecture with centralized DSP-based audio, Crestron 4-Series control processors, touchscreen iPad interfaces, and Logitech-standardized conferencing — all operating over a dedicated AV VLAN coordinated with Stateside Brands' IT team.

Each space was purpose-built. Every system was designed to integrate seamlessly.

The Spaces

A Space-by-Space Breakdown

01 — Bar/Lounge (6th Floor)

The social hub of the new headquarters

The bar and lounge on the 6th floor is Stateside Brands' marquee space — designed for work breaks, hospitality events, and large-screen corporate presentations. Visual Sound transformed it into a full AV entertainment environment anchored by a dual-zone Jumbotron system: eight 55" commercial displays arranged in quad ceiling mounts across two zones, plus a 75" pull-out tilt display at the bar itself.

Beneath the visuals, a robust audio system features 11 new white pendant ceiling speakers, two pendant subwoofers, and integration of 12 existing pendant speakers — all processed through a Biamp DSP and tied into the building-wide sound masking and background music systems (BGM) system. Four Shure ULXD wireless handhelds make the space ready for live presentations or events at a moment's notice.

Control is handled via a Crestron 4-Series processor and an iPad on an iPort dock at the bar — giving staff intuitive one-touch management of sources, displays, volume, and routing across both Jumbotron zones.

02 — Training Room (6th Floor)

Enterprise-grade hybrid learning for a 33-foot-deep room

At nearly 34 feet deep, the 6th-floor training room demanded a serious projection and audio solution. Visual Sound installed a 13,000-lumen Epson laser projector alongside an owner-furnished 12,000-lumen unit — each paired with precision throw lenses and ceiling-mounted rigging — projecting onto two electric powered screens for side-by-side content display.

The room is built for hybrid — featuring a Microsoft Teams Room PC, two Marshall PTZ cameras (a wide-angle audience camera and a ceiling-mounted auto-tracking presenter camera), and a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro production switcher for professional camera mixing. Four Sennheiser Dante beamforming ceiling microphones handle audience audio pickup; Shure ULXD handhelds and lavalieres support vocal reinforcement and remote conferencing. A Biamp DSP with acoustic echo cancellation ties it all together.

Crestron 4-Series control, an iPad dock, and a wall-mounted Logitech Tap scheduling panel round out a room that empowers trainers, presenters, and hybrid participants equally.

03 — Sound Masking & Background Music

Six zones of acoustic comfort across both floors

Open-plan offices demand acoustic privacy. Visual Sound deployed an AtlasIED Atmosphere sound masking system with dedicated processors per floor and six discrete zones — covering open work areas, the lounge, the lab room, the bar/lounge, and executive assistant areas. Each zone receives independent control via wall-mounted AtlasIED Bluetooth audio controllers, allowing staff to select from three owner-furnished Sonos music players as BGM sources.

Across both floors, Visual Sound installed over 50 pendant ceiling speakers and eight in-ceiling speakers, rewiring existing cabling to support the zone architecture. The result: a comfortable, acoustically coherent environment throughout the entire office.

04 — Conference Rooms & Meeting Spaces

Standardized Logitech conferencing across three rooms

Consistency and simplicity were the guiding principles for Stateside Brands' conference rooms. Visual Sound deployed a standardized Logitech ecosystem across three conference rooms — Rooms 623 & 624 on the 6th floor and Room 522 on the 5th — each outfitted with a Logitech Rally Plus system, RoomMate CollabOS appliance, and Logitech Swytch for bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) flexibility.

Sony commercial displays (65" in Rooms 623/624 and 75" in Room 522) were wall-mounted on pull-out tilt mounts, and Rally Pod extension microphones expanded audio pickup across each table. Medium meeting room 525 follows the same standard with 55" Sony displays. Five phone booths and focus rooms across both floors received Logitech Tap scheduling panels — glass-mounted for a clean, contemporary look.

05 — Executive Offices (7 Offices)

Wireless presenting for every senior leader

Seven executive offices across both floors received a clean, capable, and consistent AV setup: a 43" Viewsonic 4K commercial display on a Chief swing-arm wall mount, a Crestron AirMedia wireless presentation receiver, and IR remote control — keeping each office presentation-ready without clutter or complexity.

06 — Performance Lighting

Architectural programming and fixture coordination

Visual Sound provided lighting consultation, fixture placement guidance, architectural processor installation, full system programming and focus, and end-user training — coordinating closely with the client's general contractor on fixture repositioning and power work handled outside of Visual Sound's scope.

The Results

A Workplace Built to Impress, Collaborate, and Perform

With Visual Sound's full-scope delivery, Stateside Brands moved into 1100 Ludlow Street with an AV environment that was ready from day one. The bar/lounge became a signature hospitality and event space. The training room enabled immediate hybrid collaboration. Standardized conferencing technology across every meeting room eliminated friction for staff and visitors alike. And zoned sound masking created the acoustic comfort that open-plan workplaces demand.

Every space, from the Jumbotron lounge to the quietest phone booth, operates as part of a unified, IT-coordinated system built for long-term reliability and scalability. Visual Sound's service team continues to support the installation through remote monitoring and an Enhanced Service Plan, ensuring critical uptime well beyond opening day.

The result is a headquarters that doesn't just house Stateside Brands — it reflects them.
