New HDMI Cables Feature Micro-HDMI Adapter, S-Locked Connectors and Low Smoke Zero Halogen Jacket
ORLANDO– ProCo Sound, an ACT/RHC brand, will present its new HDMI Fiber Optic Cable at InfoComm 2019 (Booth 5260). The hybrid cables are designed for commercial, studio and residential applications, and provide seamless connection to source devices like computers, projectors, set-top boxes, televisions, monitors, DVD players, gaming consoles and more. Available in five variations, 100-, 125-, 150-, 175- and 200-foot runs, ProCo’s HDMI cables are ideal for the AV and installation market, which requires connectivity across large conference halls, meeting rooms and houses of worship, among others.
Unlike conventional copper HDMI cables, ProCo’s Fiber Optic Hybrid HDMI features an advanced chipset that enables the cables to maintain full 2K and 4K capabilities at 60Hz HDMI signal integrity, which is ideal for long distance connections. With a width of 4.5mm, the thin cable also features a detachable HDMI connector that converts into a small Micro-HDMI connector, allowing it to easily fit through small conduits. The low smoke zero halogen Jacket provides a flame-resistant coating that emits limited smoke and no halogen when exposed to high sources of heat.
"With both consumer and professional markets in mind, we focused on ease of use when developing this HDMI cable," says Darius Seabaugh, vice president of marketing, RHC. "The features we designed into our new Fiber Optic Hybrid HDMI cable make it stand out from conventional HDMI cables and we are excited to showcase it at InfoComm 2019."
ProCo’s Fiber Optic Hybrid HDMI cables are equipped with patented "S-Locked" HDMI connectors and are compatible with either HDMI or Micro-HDMI devices. An external power supply is not needed to operate the fiber optic HDMI, which supports 18Gbps bandwidth, as well as ARC, HEAC, HDR and HDCP 2.2 connections.
