NTI Introduces the HDMI USB KVM Extender over HDBase-T

Aurora, OH: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) announces the addition of the HDMI USB KVM Extender to its popular line of KVM extenders.

The ST-C6USBH-HDBT HDMI USB KVM Extender over HDBase-T provides remote KVM (USB keyboard, USB mouse, and HDMI monitor) access to a USB computer up to 328 feet away over a single CAT5e/6/7 cable using HDBase-T technology.

Each video extender consists of a local unit that connects to a computer, and a remote unit that connects to a keyboard, monitor, and mouse. Both keyboard and mouse are hot-pluggable, and keep-alive keyboard/mouse emulation enables flawless operation. Supporting HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 4096x2160 (4K x 2K), the extender is HDCP compliant and supports the DDC2B protocol. Only one power supply is necessary to power both the local and remote units.

The ST-C6USBH-HDBT HDMI USB KVM Extender can enable full Infrared Remote (IR) control of the HDMI source from a remote HDTV by using the existing source remote control. The HDMI features supported include: 48-bit Deep Color, x.v.Color, sYCC601 color, Adobe RGB color, Adobe YCC601 color, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, DTS, 3D, bandwidth up to 3.4 GHz, Lip Sync, and support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices.

The remote unit is compatible with most USB keyboards and mice, and the local unit is compatible with a PC, SUN or MAC computer with USB ports and provides multiplatform support, including: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8, Windows Server 2000/2003/2008, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD and MAC OS 9/10.

The HDMI USB KVM Extender also features bi-directional RS232 interface and an additional USB port on the remote unit for a touch screen monitor, interactive whiteboard, or CAC card reader. An optional Ethernet port on the transmitter and receiver allows the connection of standard network devices such as 100Base-T routers and hubs.

Available for immediate sale, the HDMI USB KVM Extender over HDBase-T costs $650 each, and units with the optional Ethernet ports cost $690 each.
