Over 1,200 OmniMounts proudly support all video displays throughout Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts.
Indianapolis, IN – November 6, 2009 – OmniMount, the global leader in commercial and consumer A/V mounting and furniture solutions, is proud to be the sole provider of video display mounts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. A variety of OmniMount products support 1,200 video displays throughout the stadium, including the concourse, press box, luxury suites, concession areas and retail shops.
The installation was made possible by hhgregg’s commercial division who was tasked with mounting every flat panel display, menu and information board and digital signage display in the 1.8 million square foot facility. Mounts from several different OmniMount lines, including the Architectural Series, WorldMount Series, Low Profile Series and Flat Panel Ceiling Mounts were utilized to ensure fans could see the action from virtually any spot in the stadium.
“In doing this installation you could not be a white knuckler and afraid of heights,” said Cal Ealy, Alpha Sales Corporation’s VP. “There was a lot of hanging over balconies and manual lift rides to great heights. It was pretty incredible.”
Lucas Oil Stadium, completed in August 2008 is multi-purpose facility that replaced the former RCA Dome. This state-of-the art stadium features a retractable roof and its versatile design allows for seating configurations ranging in size from 15,000 to 70,000. In addition to being the home to the Indianapolis Colts, Lucas Oil Stadium will also host NCAA men’s and women’s Final Four® and Regional basketball games, and be used for major conventions, trade shows and events such as the annual Black Expo, and Circle City Classic.
