Tech Specs
The MAXX-6T Server delivers over 700 hours of redundant storage, at a price that makes economic sense for every market size. It redefines price-performance for broadcast servers in today's market. We’ve included our many server options to create an attractively-priced, high-capacity professional product. It's a clean synthesis of modern file-based capabilities, with the advantages of traditional base-band connections. The MAXX-6T's extensive hardware features and software tools make it a smooth upgrade path for tape-based stations, able to operate with every automation system. It’s ideally suited as a play-to-air server, as a cache for satellite ingest, as a graphics store; and for use in weather systems, remote trucks and extra channels in DTV broadcast. Operationally, MAXX-6T functions as a video recorder, 3-channel playout server and as a graphics store for key-and-fill. It provides both composite and SDI video ports, a frame synchronizer for recording satellite feeds and other "wild" sources and multiple audio formats including embedded audio, AES/EBU digital and +4 balanced analog. XLR connectors makes it a drop-in fit at existing facilities. There's never a need to buy outboard accessories. MAXX's file-based features make a big difference in efficiency with every production and broadcast task. Beyond recording and playing broadcast-quality MPEG-2 video, MAXX exchanges files over Gigabit Ethernet with NLEs like Final Cut Pro® and Avid®. TARGA files, along with an alpha channel, can also be imported from many graphics programs and played out as a ganged pair. Available in NTSC and PAL versions.
