Barco - New Connected Desktop for the digital workplace wins InfoComm awards

Newly launched at InfoComm, the Connected Desktop by X2O Media Inc., a Barco company, won two prestigious awards from Systems Contractor News (SCN) and AV Technology magazines.

Real-time information, right where you need it
The Connected Desktop by X2O connects employees to business-critical information wherever and whenever they need it from the screen they use most often – their desktop workstation or laptop. From real-time alerts, to screensaver channels, to targeted notifications, everything flows to the user’s desktop for easy access as it’s happening. Watch the video here.

SCN awarded the Connected Desktop “Most Innovative Digital Signage Product (Software)” of 2015, based on a popular vote by readers who selected from four innovative products chosen by an independent panel of judges.

NewBay Media also awarded the product “Best of Show” on behalf of AV Technology magazine, recognizing new and outstanding products exhibited at InfoComm 2016 that solve meaningful problems for tech managers. Nominations from manufacturers were judged on site by a team of five AV experts, most with CTS/CTS-I certifications.

Editorial director of AV Technology, Margot Douaihy stated, “These products have a special appeal for AV technology managers and IT directors in increasingly collaborative AV/IT environments. Our community wants to collaborate more efficiently and expediently, and these products help them do that.”
