BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, is excited to announce the addition of Chris Fitzsimmons as a Product Manager. He will be initially based in the UK and report to Graeme Harrison, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Biamp Systems.

After eight years as editor of InAVate Magazine, the EMEA region's leading media resource for professional AV systems technology and integration, Chris Fitzsimmons decided to leave the world of publishing and pursue a career within the AV industry he has spent so many years writing about. Before participating in the launch of InAVate in 2005, Chris was assistant editor at IML Group PLC where he worked on various business-to-business publications such as Plant & Control Engineering and Electronics Manufacture and Test.

"It's my time at InAVate that has prepared me to pursue my next challenge with a company like Biamp," Chris said. "Working with an industry leader is an opportunity I could not pass up, and represents a further chance to push the boundaries in an industry on the cusp of revolutionary change."

Chris received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manchester in Materials Science and Engineering. His educational background coupled with his professional expertise in video, STM (synchronous transport modules), sound, B2B communications, and new business development skills make him an invaluable new addition to the Biamp team.
