PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, February 28, 2011 – Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today the opening of a new office in Korea – Black Box Network Services Korea Limited (Black Box Korea). This operation will focus on the commercial and government opportunities in Korea and compliments Black Box’s existing presence in Korea where it presently supports communication systems for the U.S. military through the Black Box Federal Division headquartered in the U.S. Black Box Korea signifies another milestone for the Company, marking Black Box's direct entry into one of Northeast Asia's fastest growing economies. Many Korean companies are now investing to expand or upgrade their data and voice network infrastructure systems and Black Box is strategically positioned to capitalize on this opportunity through the marketing of its technical services and solutions.
Mr. Denzil Stephenson, Regional General Manager Asia Pacific, will assume the role of Acting Country Manager of Black Box Korea reporting to Mr. Francis Wertheimber, Sr. Vice President of Pacific Rim and the Far East. The office is located at Gangnam Station Centre in Gangnam, which is recognized as the fastest expanding business area in the capital city - Seoul.
