We've covered mounting options in the past and for some video walls, mounts can be just as important of a decision as which display to use. Although they're not visible after installation, they can make or break a project. Think of the mounts as the "bones" of a video wall.
The mounts you choose can affect installation speed & cost, the risk of display damage, and the overall ease of serviceability. Most importantly, your choice of mount will affect the physical alignment of the displays throughout the installation's lifetime.
Much like when deciding what video wall to go with, there are key questions you should ask yourself when deciding on your mounting solution.

So, what are the options?
How do I know which one is best for my setup?
H-Mounts are a wonderful option when you have at leave 4" of clearance around a video wall comprised of three or fewer rows. These mounts include side covers at no additional cost, blocking the view of cables and making for a sleek and clean look from every angle.
Pull-out mounts work best in situations where the video wall is recessed into a tight wall pocket. They are ideal for cases in which front access is the only option, or the video wall array has more than three rows of displays. H-Mounts ensure better display alignment, but this isn't as important for larger walls where the viewing distance is greater. Alignment issues won't be as evident from a distance and easy access to individual displays is far more important when there are four or more rows of displays.
GPO Display's floor stands can be used when the video wall cannot be mounted on a wall surface. They can be made permanent (anchored) or semi-permanent (on wheels) and are built-to-order with black powder-coated metal. Because they are built-to-order, they can be customized easily for color, finish height, logos, and more. Locking rear doors are an option in cases where people may walk or look behind the displays.
What makes our H-mounts different
H-Mounts allow the displays to slide to the side for access to power outlets and devices placed behind displays and then easily slide back into place. Their lack of moving parts and well-defined service channels restrict the displays' range of motion, allowing installers to achieve much better alignment with a lower risk of damage. Installers can even assemble sections of these mounts (2×2, 3×1, etc.) on the floor since H-Mounts match displays outline dimensions and are essentially a spacer and mount in a single piece. All it takes is a simple measurement to determine where the mounts are going to be placed on the wall, a quick level, and then the mounts can go up. Once installed, displays will not experience any alignment drift as there is no "scissor" or "hinge" component, unlike pull-out mounts.
In conclusion, when thinking about which mount to choose, we suggest using the 3A's:
Alignment
It's important to consider not only how difficult the initial alignment will be, but also how well the mounts keep the displays' alignment over time. Front-serviceable mounts often require multiple moves out from an installed position to a service position. As bezel widths decrease, the risk of panel damage during alignment increases during this process. Having an option that reduces this risk is a must for many people.
Accessibility
What happens if you need to troubleshoot or service the wall? Does the mount make it easy to access power outlets and devices placed behind the displays? Will the wall look the same after it's been serviced? Or will the positioning be slightly off?
Appearance
The final look of a video wall is important to many people. Having side covers included with optional top/bottom trim ensures that mounting components and cabling will be blocked from view by clean, slotted metal plated. Custom colors and stand options allow you to make the wall truly unique.
