Kramer’s Max Kopsho Named InfoComm Educator of the Year

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – June 7, 2010 InfoComm International®, the leading professional audiovisual trade association, presented its Educator of the Year Award to Max Kopsho, CTS, MCSE. The award was presented at InfoComm 2010, the largest professional audiovisual and information communications tradeshow worldwide, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Kopsho is Kramer Electronics USA’s Director of Training and Consultant Relations. He has worked in the AV industry for over 13 years in various management and technical roles including product management, sales and sales management, channel marketing, field technical services and training. He is a member of the Senior Faculty for InfoComm Academy, and serves on InfoComm’s Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC), where he chairs the InfoComm Curriculum Committee, and serves on the InfoComm Planning Committee and the Conference Selection Subcommittee. Kopsho teaches InfoComm-licensed curriculum for Kramer and has helped more students prepare for the CTS exam than any other instructor.
“Max Kopsho is being named InfoComm Educator of the Year because of his extreme dedication to helping other AV professionals succeed,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director and CEO, InfoComm International. “Max has improved the knowledge base of thousands of industry workers, and by doing so has improved the communications experience for countless customers.”

Dave Bright, President of Kramer stated that, “This award is truly well-deserved. Max is one of Kramer Electronics most valuable assets. There are more than 30 accredited courses that he is authorized to teach. Max is one of only two people working at the manufacturer level that is authorized to teach the InfoComm CTS prep course. The other person just happens to be Kramer’s own Clint Hoffman. Max is responsible for helping hundreds of customers, employees and consultants obtain their CTS certification after taking the 3-day prep class.”
The Educator of the Year Award is nominated by InfoComm’s Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC) and selected by the InfoComm Board of Governors, to honor an individual who works to develop the skills and knowledge of others in the AV industry. Kramer Electronics is so proud and pleased that InfoComm chose Max Kopsho as this year’s recipient!
“Max is one of the few gifted educators capable of holding the attention of his trainees for that long,” Bright added. “I think his marathon (running) training has helped him bring boundless energy and enthusiasm to his work, and those he trains can feel the passion he brings to the classroom; resulting in an incredible 90% + pass rate on the CTS tests. In just slightly more than a month, he has trained not only Kramer customers, but employees in Canada, Germany, the UK and the US as well. I wish we could clone Max“.
