Magewell’s Director One all-in-one production system builds on the powerful feature set and flexibility of Magewell’s popular Director Mini solution with a larger, brighter touchscreen; integrated cellular modem (SIM card not included); and direct HDMI output.
Director One is a comprehensive production and streaming solution that combines multi-input switching, graphics, streaming, recording and monitoring in one compact device. Director One offers exceptional input flexibility; sophisticated production tools; extensive output capabilities; and a wide range of control choices including the integrated touchscreen, Director Utility mobile app, web interface, and optional third-party controllers.
Director One features a 7” AMOLED touchscreen, with 800-nit brightness and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio enhancing visibility in environments such as bright sunlight. Director One supports wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as an integrated 4G cellular modem, and can combine connections for resilience and speed with bonding technology from partner Speedify.
Director One’s rich input capabilities include two HDMI inputs, two USB AV inputs, HTML web pages, media files, three mobile cameras and three simultaneous live IP sources including SRT streams, RTMP streams, RTSP streams, NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX. Embedded audio is supported on the HDMI and USB inputs alongside a 3.5mm analog audio input.
Director One’s vast production toolset includes rich graphics capabilities, telestration, instant replay, built-in scoreboard functionality, HTML graphics overlays, chroma keying, PTZ camera control and much more.
Director One’s touchscreen interface is complemented by the Director Utility app, which provide remote configuration, audio controls, input switching, scoreboard control and more. The Director Utility can also turn the smartphone’s camera into a streaming source as a mobile input to the Director One hardware, further enhancing the multi-camera production possibilities of the system.
Director One can encode video up to 1080p at 60 fps and bitrates up to 30Mbps, with a flexible array of output possibilities. Productions can be streamed using the RTMP protocol to popular platforms such as YouTube™ Live, Facebook™ Live or custom destinations. Other outputs include SRT and RTMP streams as well as HDMI and USB-C (UVC) interfaces. Director One can also record productions to an SD card or built-in storage.
