Shure Selected as One of Chicago’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®”
Posted on Tuesday, July 28, 2015

NILES, Ill., July 28, 2015—Receiving the accolade for the eighth time, Shure Incorporated has again been named one of “Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For” by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). A competition that honors employer excellence, Shure was selected for recognizing its Associates as the Company’s greatest asset and for showcasing best practices across human resources and employee enrichment programs. Shure is the only audio company on the 2015 list and also won the award from 2006-08 and again from 2011-14.

“Our founder, Sidney N. Shure, knew that it was vital to our success to provide a challenging and enriching environment for our Associates,” said Sandy LaMantia, President and CEO of Shure Incorporated. “We continue the practices he started by recognizing the hard work, creativity, and achievements of our world-class workforce as the foundation of our unique culture and legendary products.”

To be considered for the award, Shure Associates were randomly selected to complete an online survey through a website administered by the NABR. The survey covered various areas of employer excellence, capturing companies with programs and policies that are considered best practices. The evaluation included ten categories that Associates value in a company: communication and shared vision, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, employee education and development, recruitment and selection, strategic company performance, employee achievement and recognition, employee enrichment and retention, and work/life balance.

“We are so humbled and honored to be named on the list of  “Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For”, for an eighth time,” said Paul Applebaum, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and General Counsel at Shure. “We strive just as hard to create an inviting environment for our Associates as we do in producing the very best in audio products.”
