Event review: Visit to the University of St. Gallen
Visiting the latest media technology at the University of St. Gallen was a complete success.
During a tour of an auditorium, a seminar room and the control room of the Audimax, all participants were able to learn from those responsible at the university how the installed technology works in everyday teaching. The very open exchange of experiences among all participants led to interesting discussions and was very inspiring for all sides.
Of particular interest was the complete integration of AV technology into a remote management system, which is used for remote access, asset management and monitoring. Findings from the evaluations of the use of the AV systems also allow interesting conclusions to be drawn about the future AV equipment of other rooms.
For example, that the expensive wireless transmission systems purchased in seminar rooms are used particularly often and that it makes all the more sense to purchase them.
Overall, it was heard that networked media technology has made monitoring the status of the systems much easier and that emergency interventions have become much less common.
